Since the cold and rain prevented the celebration of the Day of the Balearic Islands normally be held on Thursday and part of Friday, the sun allowed thousands participated in one of the many activities planned during the last weekend.
The day commemorates the Balearic Islands integration in the autonomic Spain, event that occurred on 1st March 1983 and has been held since then in the early March.
The Feast Day of the Balearic isles served as a pretext to show all visitors the wealth of the island culture through various events and activities: colour costumes, dances and folk music, and typical food recipes, concerts, conferences, exhibitions, shows and other artistic and cultural events.
